Employee Spotlight: Kyle FitzGerald

Name:

Kyle FitzGerald

Began working at Blessings International:

April 2007

Role:

Warehouse Manager

If you had to compare yourself to a TV-show character, who would you be, and why?

Someone between Tim “the Tool Man” Taylor from Home Improvement and Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation. I can always use “more power!” (Argh argh argh!) I enjoy the great outdoors; and “not to worry, I have a permit.”

Describe the part you play at Blessings:

I do whatever Barry tells me to do. Which includes but is not limited to overseeing operations of the warehouse and telling dad jokes.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

I feel extremely blessed to come to work every day with people I enjoy working with. I love the impact we are making in the world. It’s a wonderful, almost indescribable feeling I get when we hear back from the mission field how someone’s life was saved or gratefully impacted because of the work we are doing.

Where have you served in a missional capacity?

I have been blessed to be able to serve in my own backyard. I enjoy volunteering at my local church. I love “just” loving my neighbors. I like to show the love of Jesus by offering up my time with other people’s home improvement projects and helping my friends with my vehicle knowledge.

Where/How would you like to serve in the future?

In April of 2020, I was all set to serve on my first medical mission trip. I was planning on serving with Health Talents International in Guatemala. Unfortunately, COVID postponed our trip. I’m looking forward to going to Guatemala and letting that trip be the start of many more.

What is your best memory here at Blessings?

I have so many good memories that it’s hard to just pick one. I’d have to say my favorite memories are the times when all of the staff are together. I love celebrating together. Blessings is a family and it’s better together.
