Medication Repackaging Service (MRS) is a unique, specialized service we are pleased to offer teams, due to its many benefits.MRS takes the medicines or vitamins ordered through Blessings International and packages them in individual, zip-locked packages. Each bag is sealed and labeled with instructions in a preferred language.

Having Blessings individually package some of your medicines or vitamins has numerous advantages. Here are our top ten ways MRS helps teams:

1. Individualized portions

With quantity options of 20, 30, 60, or 90 tablets per package, you can give a child a one-month supply of chewable vitamins, and give his mother a three-month supply of her diabetes medication.

2. Directions in local languages

Each MRS order can be labeled with directions in English, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Creole, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Swahili, Tamil, Telugu, or Vietnamese.

3. Long beyond-use dates

Because each MRS unit, as we recently announced, receives a 2-year beyond-use date from the day it’s packaged, teams can order in advance without the concern of medications or vitamins expiring before patients finish taking them.

4. Guaranteed to be sanitary

All of our repackaging is done in a climate-controlled, HEPA-filtered, and FDA-approved environment.

5. Safer

Our medical repackaging service seals and labels all individual bags, making any tampering apparent. Because the zip-lock bags are resealable, the directions stay with the medication.

6. Save time before your trip…and during

Having medicines and vitamins pre-packaged will save you the time of organizing a packing party and counting by hand. The minimum amount we repackage per medication is 3,000 tablets and the maximum is 100,000, so, if you have a large order, this is especially time-saving.When your team is on the mission field, every moment you can spare is time you can spend building relationships or helping others. Having prescriptions packaged before arriving in the country allows team members extra time serving one-on-one with others.

7. Fewer questions at customs

While customs officials are usually understanding of medical teams, sometimes having fewer questions is just preferable, especially if whittling that transit time is crucial. The sealed, labeled packets raise fewer red flags than, say, a suitcase full of zip-locked bags, labeled by hand.

8. Export available

If you'd rather not carry medicines and vitamins in your luggage, you may be able to have your MRS items exported as part of your Blessings order. (Please ask us about our exporting policy when you place your order.)

9. Less confusion

MRS labeling is distinct and consistent, eliminating any confusion that can arise with handwritten labels.

10. One less thing to organize

Every medical mission team knows it takes a large amount of organizing to get everything and everyone off the ground and to another country. Sending an order through MRS alleviates that extra step.

To have your next order packaged via MRS, please download the "Medication Repackaging Service Order Form" at the international Catalog & Forms page, and submit it with your order paperwork. When ordering online via myBlessings, please submit your MRS order via email after ordering the products you would like repackaged.
