At first, Melissa came to New Hope Family Services seeking an ultrasound. When she left that day, no one knew which way her decision would fall.

Melissa chose abortion.

The day after she’d taken the first dose of the abortion pill mifepristone, she texted New Hope’s director, Kristin. “Is it possible to undo what I’ve done?”

Chances were good that progesterone could undo the chemical abortion, but Kristin didn’t want to make any promises. With a hopeful but cautious heart, she replied, “Come in to the clinic as soon as possible.”

Melissa came in, and the New Hope team administered progesterone, which they had stocked up on from their previous order with Blessings International.

Giving her the dosages she'd continue to need over the coming days, all they could do was wait to see if their efforts were successful.

Thanks to Melissa's quick change of heart and the team's immediate response, the baby's heartbeat continued. The progesterone had reversed the affects of the mifepristone! As time has progressed, the clinic has been able to confirm that Melissa’s baby is growing well!

“Melissa was so thankful for the chance to save her baby,” Kristin told us, “and we are humbled and grateful to the Lord for being a part of her and her baby’s story.”
