In the forty-one years Blessings International has been in operation, we’ve never seen the response that we have since the Ukraine war began.

From March to the end of June, donors have given $145,000 over the course of 186 transactions. That’s an average donation of $779.33!

“Blessings has never seen this level of response before,” said CFO Bernie Morris. “It’s record breaking.”

Even before medical teams were responding to the attack on Ukraine, we were receiving donations. To date, Blessings International has sent out over half a million dollars of medicines and supplies to Europe as dozens of organizations have rushed to aid Ukraine and refugees. While many are assisting in neighboring countries like Poland and Moldova, some are traveling into the heart of Ukraine and supplying hospitals, refugee sites, and cancer centers with pharmaceuticals that are all-too scarce.

One partner, Rochester Regional Health Foundation, is supplying a children’s hospital in Kharkiv, located in northeaster Ukraine. “Last week we purchased $9,172.10 in prescription medications and other hospital supplies through Blessings International for shipment to Ukraine,” they recently posted on their website.

“Once again, Blessings International made a very generous donation to cover part of this shipment – $4,586.05. And Blessings is covering the cost of shipping to Poland! Thank you, Blessings!”

Without our donors’ contributions, we would not have been able to contribute medicines and supplies to orders like this and many others, impacting an estimated 642,000 lives since the start of the war.

Thank you for your continued support of this ongoing need. We’ll be sending medicines and supplies as long as the war continues and long after.
